Amar Karan serves as Scientist SE in the Urban Programme at the Centre for Environment Education (CEE). He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Environmental Sciences and Management and has completed an International Training Programme in Urban Environment Management from Sweden and a Leadership Accelerator Program from IIM Bangalore. He integrates strong technical expertise in environmental systems with effective communication strategies. His work focuses on sustainable urban mobility, road safety advocacy, air quality, climate change, and participatory urban governance. He has developed several publications, training modules, and advocacy materials promoting sustainability and environmental awareness in urban contexts.
