Dr. Piyush Kant Pandey is a distinguished academic leader, environmental scientist, and sustainability strategist with nearly four decades of professional experience across higher education, research, and regulatory governance. As Vice Chancellor of Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur, he leads transformative initiatives that embed innovation, environmental responsibility, and institutional excellence into academic and administrative frameworks.

Holding dual doctorates — one in Environmental Chemistry and another in Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore) — Dr. Pandey’s career embodies a rare blend of scientific rigor, strategic governance, and people-centered leadership. His interdisciplinary background enables him to bridge academia, industry, and policy, fostering models that align education, ESG standards, and sustainable development goals.

He has guided over 25 Ph.D. scholars, executed nationally funded projects (DST, AERB, AICTE etc.) in environmental and sustainability sciences, and contributed to regulatory and policy frameworks as a Member of the State Environmental Assessment Committee (SEAC). In this capacity, he has gained wide industrial exposure as a regulator in the industrially developed state of Chhattisgarh, engaging with sectors such as mining, power, steel, cement, and infrastructure, ensuring that development aligns with environmental and social compliance norms.

Dr. Pandey’s research collaborations include association with the NASA(USA)–AERONET Global Atmospheric Monitoring Program, advancing knowledge on aerosol dynamics, air quality, and climate modelling. His leadership at Amity University is driving a futureready ecosystem rooted in sustainability, digital innovation, and transdisciplinary education.
