Prachi Shevgaonkaris a Climate Innovator and the founder of Cool The Globe: An app for climate action with users from 147+ countries. She has been awarded by the finance minister of India as the ‘Young Change-maker ofthe year.’

Prachi leads the Next Generation India Fellowship by the UN Foundation and CEEW, facilitating the role of youth in solving global challenges. Prachi is serving as Climate Change Advisor to Tata Power and all itssubsidiaries. She won a deal on Shark Tank India season 3 and was also selected in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia – Class of 2024. She wasfeatured by Google in a TV campaign inspired by herjourney of building CoolThe GlobeApp.

She is the youngest & first Indian Citizen to be appointed on the advisory board of Climate Leadership Coalition, along with the former Prime Minister of Finland. Prachi represented India at COP27 where she received ‘COP27 Scholar Award’ from the Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav. She is also a founding member of the Global Youth Council with the President of Colombia and Nobel Peace Laureate Juan Manuel Santos, formed to address existential threats to the global community.

Prachi’s campaigns for climate action have reached over 25 Million citizens. Till date, citizens from 147+ countries have come together on Cool The Globe App and saved 5.5 Million kg Greenhouse GasEmissions, by making simple lifestyle changesforthe environment.

Prachi spent a year traveling across India, covering stories of youth, farmers, and waste-picker communities, to understand the impact of climate change in day-to-day lives of people. She has been mobilising citizens to tackle climate change through technology, advocacy and grass-root action. She firmly believes that when ordinary citizens come together, miracles can happen.
