Dr. Preeti Negandhi

MD (Preventive and Social Medicine), MSc (Public Health Research) Professor and Chair JSW Centre for Climate Change and Health Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI)

Prof (Dr.) Preeti Negandhi has a medical and public health background. She has previously worked in Routine Immunization with UNICEF Bihar (2007-08), where she was actively involved in program planning and implementation as Divisional Coordinator. Later, she worked at PATH (Programme for Appropriate Technology in Health) at New Delhi (2009), where she provided technical assistance to the Govt. of India for planning and implementing the Japanese Encephalitis vaccination campaigns across the country.

Since 2010, Prof. Preeti has been a faculty member at IIPH Delhi, an academic institute established by PHFI. She teaches epidemiology, research methods, disease surveillance, and health information systems, across various on-campus and distance-learning programs of PHFI. She is the Course Co-ordinator for the ePost Graduate Program in Epidemiology (eLearning). Preeti leads trainings on ‘Field Epidemiology Training Program’ and ‘Health System Preparedness during disasters’ besides teaching on other trainings. Her research projects include a variety of public health areas, including RMNCHA+, M&E and HIS. Her areas of interest include epidemiology, infectious diseases, maternal and child health, health information systems and climate change.
